Bazinga Mac and Cheese Coming in June to San Diego

Hello, macaroni and cheese! Welcome to North Park.

Bazinga Eatery, formerly Sea Rocket Bistro, is expected to open in the first week of June, according to an answer to an inquiry placed by KP via Bazinga’s Facebook page. Also according to Facebook, this North Park reinvention is bringing a variety of mac and cheese offerings into the mix—gluten free included!

I can’t help but think this is a perfect place from which to pick up something snacky and head to one of the local brew spots—Modern Times or Thorn Street—that don’t offer food with their drinks. Then again, there’s still quite a bit of paper in the windows of Bazinga, making it hard to know at this point just how welcoming it will be and what else is on the menu, aside from mac and cheese, of course. (PS, praying for a truffle-inspired variety.)

From the owners of Sea Rocket, no strangers to the intersection of Upas and 30th, this location and the fact that there aren’t any standalone mac and cheese competitors should make Bazinga Eatery a shoe in for this growing foodie destination on the border of North Park.

Will update as soon as it’s open!
